For non-native English speakers, the fear of not being good enough at English is extremely common.

Even if your grammar and vocabulary are both strong, a lack of confidence can hold you back in so many ways. The pressure to find the right word can limit your flow and engagement, your clarity, and your authority. This can make conversations feel uncomfortable and difficult for you and your listener.
You might avoid speaking in meetings or social situations because you stress over how to pronounce certain words and what others think of your English. This self-doubt can create a barrier that prevents you from fully showcasing your expertise and making the impact you deserve.
The good news is that confidence in your English-speaking ability can be developed.
I work with non-native English-speaking clients almost every day, and building their confidence brings significant benefits.
Here’s what happens when you build confidence in your speaking skills:
Presence
People who have a presence can fully engage others, fostering connections with ease and building trust.
Leadership
When you feel confident expressing yourself, you can think smart, make better decisions, present ideas that inspire action, and command authority.
Stronger professional relationships
The ability to speak without fear or anxiety adds value to your conversations, strengthens your relationships and helps you build your professional network.
Personal growth
As you become more comfortable speaking English, your ability to learn and express yourself will improve, unlocking new opportunities, both personal and professional.
Your confidence CAN be developed by working with me as your coach. I do this through coaching, practical exercises and consistent feedback.
Remember that what you say is not just about knowing the language.
It’s about having the confidence to speak, listen and engage with others.
As a non-native speaker, how has your confidence (or lack of it) impacted your English-speaking experience?
Let me know, and contact me if you would like to find out more about what I offer.
